Frequently Asked Questions
How are Mohs Surgeons identified and qualified?
All Mohs surgeons must be board certified and carry an active medical license. This will be verified by iTASC administration at the Federation of State Medical Boards (FSMB) website.
Surgeons must also be members of the American College of Mohs Surgery (ACMS) and can register with the iTASC network.
As a volunteer Mohs surgeon, how can I specify the number of referrals per year?
When completing the Mohs physician registration form, you will be asked how many referrals per year you are interested in treating.
How do I receive referrals?
When a qualified referral in your area comes through iTASC, your office will be contacted to schedule the appointment and all referral documents will be faxed from iTASC.
What data is required from the treating Mohs surgeons?
Simply fax the operative report and surgery letter to the iTASC fax line: 937-345-2351
What if there is additional work-up or treatment needed before surgery?
When the perioperative need is identified for imaging or treatment, administrative staff at iTASC will help coordinate care.
What happens if the patient doesn’t show for surgery?
iTASC will contact the patient and referring physician. Please notify iTASC by email- admin@iTASC.org.
Are there any disclaimers?
iTASC is not a safety net. Our website states that we are expanding services as fast as possible, but every referring physician is still responsible to make sure that his/her patient receives the care that is needed in the appropriate time frame. This disclaimer must be acknowledged by every physician who registers.
